My sister broke her only pair of glasses Wednesday night. She literally can't see a thing without her glasses. After calling Alan as a new customer Thursday morning we got an appointment for an eye test Thursday evening and picked her brand new glasses up Friday morning! Amazing customer service. Alan was so kind helping us pick a new pair of glasses and worked so hard to have them ready at the soonest possible time. Would never go anywhere else! Thank you so much Alan!! Absolute life saver!

Very friendly, informative and good prices. Recently got contacts from here and the process was great. Highly recommended for anyone looking for glasses, contacts or even advice. Don't go to specsavers! Go here instead!

Have been a customer of Alan for twenty years, and couldn't imagine going anywhere else to have my contact lenses sorted every 6 months, and have my eye sight check ups. Always great service, very professional and helpful.

Had an eye test here for the first time in over 15 years. Great experience and they made everything clear for me to understand. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Nice choice of glasses to choose from and I received mine within just a few days of my appointment. Thank you!

I had an eye test at Smithdown Eyecare Ltd yesterday and was extremely impressed by their professional and friendly approach. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I have to say this is the friendliest opticians I have ever been to. Very thorough and professional. It was so nice being treated as an actual person and not trying to sell me all kinds of stuff. Will always come here now. Very highly recommended. Many thanks. Oh, and my glasses were perfect.

Alan is a legend, friendly and knowledgable. His shop has the most amazing range of designer glasses at reasonable prices. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Amazing customer service! I felt very Covid-safe attending for my eye test. The staff are absolutely lovely and really make you feel like your custom matters. Decent selection of specs, and mine were ready less than 48 hours later! Highly recommended.

This was my first time going to eyecare and it certainly won't be the last. Alan was very patient nothing was too much trouble, glasses were perfect and it wasn't a long wait for them to be completed. Price very reasonable too. Thankyou.

What patients say about us on Google.

In a world where companies want to upsell, upsell, upsell, Smithdown eyecare stands apart. Staff seem to sincerely want to help us all see better/identify potential issues rather than milk each customer for all the money that they could. If you too are nostalgic for healthcare you can trust, if you are tired of opticians that look at you as nothing more than a consumer and want to maximise their profits from you... I think Smithdown Eyecare is the opticians for us. Lisa H

The owner got us fixed up after my daughter's glasses broke while traveling. We were in and out in and out in no time at all.

Friendly and professional service, recieved contacts and glasses in no time.

Was recommended smithdown eye care by family for very friendly service. Glad I gave it a try lovely staff very helpful when picking out new frames. Very happy with my experience will use again!

I have been with Alan at Smithdown Eye care for about 6 years now. His customer service is fantastic, as are his range of glasses. He always offers fair pricing, quick turn around on glasses and contact lenses. I have moved further away now but it’s so worth the travel to stay at this opticians. Would recommend!
